Apache 5800 | Travel Photography Build

If you’ve ever been mid-shoot, had a great idea, and realized you’re missing that ONE little thing you need to pull it off, you get it.

When I started doing product photography on-site, I never fully trusted myself to remember everything. So naturally, I started shopping for travel gear. But after adding a Pelican case, padded inserts, and a lighting kit I didn’t really need to my cart, I realized how quickly the costs was getting ridiculous.

I thought, ya know, I think I can do this cheaper.

And so I did! After many hours of compare and contrast I started putting things together. This build combines the Apache 5800 case, A-MoDe padded inserts, and an inexpensive Amazon lid organizer to make the most of every inch of space.

I’ve done the research so you don’t have to. Let’s get into the gear!

How do I protect my gear and make it travel friendly on a budget?
